Brittany Hogate, MS, OTR/L, CHT

Biography

Brittany is a National Board Certified Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist providing specialized upper extremity care at Delaware Orthopaedic Specialist’s Limestone Clinic in Wilmington, DE. Brittany is dedicated to providing her patients with one-on-one care that is tailored to their individual needs. As a CHT, she blends the science and art of hand therapy to help others return to the activities that are most meaningful to them.

Brittany began her academic studies at Rowan University, where she graduated with honors in 2006 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Elementary Education and Psychology. Brittany’s love of individualized, holistic care led her to pursue her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Philadelphia University in 2014, at which time she served as the President of her cohort’s Student Occupational Therapy Association. Brittany currently serves as the Doctoral Capstone Fieldwork Educator for Widener University, facilitating and directing evidence-based research projects in the clinical setting of upper extremity rehabilitation. Brittany has earned additional certifications as a Kinesiology Taping Practitioner and in the provision of Physical Agent Modalities, including Dry Needling for the Upper Extremity. She has also completed advanced courses in custom orthotic fabrication and has a special interest in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.

Outside of work, Brittany enjoys distance running, gardening, and attending Phillies games and concerts. She and her husband Jim live in South Jersey with their 3 young children and 2 dogs. Brittany is currently taking courses to gain fluency in American Sign Language and is passionate about advocating with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
