These investigations won several prestigious awards and were presented around the country and in Europe. This research also lead to an honor thesis, allowing him to graduate from Harvard Medical School with honors in orthopaedic science in 1995.
After completing medical school, Dr. Patterson entered surgical internship at the New England Deaconess Hospital. His orthopaedic training then began in the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Brigham & Women's Hospital. After much consideration, Dr. Patterson transferred to the Duke Orthopaedic Residency, completing the program in 2000. Again, he was active in orthopaedic research and earned recognition for research that he performed while at Duke. The Pattersons then returned to Boston: Dr. Sarah Stock-Patterson as a visiting professor at MIT's Sloan School of Business and Dr. Patterson as a Harvard Hand & Upper Extremity Fellow at the Massachusetts General, Brigham & Women's and Boston Children's Hospitals.
Dr. Patterson joined Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists in 2001. He practices orthopaedic surgery sub-specializing in hand & upper extremity surgery. Excellent result from Xiaflex injection
I went to Dr. Patterson for my Dupytren’s syndrome. I had a Xiaflex infection and subsequent manipulation. I am very pleased with the results! My finger is fully flexible! The recovery time was not substantial and I had little discomfort post-procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Patterson if you’re considering having this procedure done. I’m glad I finally decided to address this issue! I no longer poke myself in the eye and am not embarrassed to shake hands! Thank you, Dr. Patterson!
