Biography
Duncan Outslay is the Team Lead for Sports Physical Therapy and a highly respected clinician with over 20 years of experience in Delaware. He holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy (MSPT) from Widener University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training (ATC) from the University of Delaware. Duncan also holds certifications in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA).
Duncan specializes in lower extremity examination and biomechanics, with a particular focus on endurance athletes. As a USA Triathlon Certified Coach, he has successfully trained athletes across all levels—from beginners to National Championship qualifiers—in events ranging from 5Ks to full Ironman races. His background as a former baseball player also informs his expertise in throwing mechanics, shoulder injury prevention, and rehabilitation.
His clinical interests center around performance enhancement, injury prevention, and corrective exercise strategies. Duncan’s passion for the field began in high school after sustaining a sports injury, which sparked his appreciation for the role of athletic trainers and first responders on the field. This passion was recognized when he received the Athletic Trainer of the Year Award from the Delaware Athletic Trainer’s Association.
Duncan lives in the Pike Creek–Wilmington area with his wife, Natalie, and their two children, Liz and Will. He maintains an active lifestyle and continues to compete in triathlons. A lifelong baseball enthusiast, he has also served as a dedicated Little League coach for more than a decade.
