Dr. Jeffrey Lynch is a fellowship-trained orthopedic shoulder and elbow surgeon who specializes in complex arthroscopic and open surgeries of the upper extremity. Dr. Lynch completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Jefferson Health New Jersey Division, where he received training in all aspects of orthopedic surgery including arthroplasty, arthroscopy, fracture care surgery as well as the non-operative management of many orthopedic conditions. While in residency, Dr. Lynch served as the research chief resident overseeing one of the most productive research residencies nationwide.

Following residency, Dr. Lynch completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH, training under world experts in the treatment of all conditions related to the shoulder and elbow. In Cleveland, Dr. Lynch gained an extensive knowledge in routine and complex shoulder replacement procedures, rotator cuff and labral repair, and muscle tendon transfers as well as elbow arthroscopy, arthroplasty and ligamentous procedures such as biceps repairs and Tommy John Surgery. Dr. Lynch has a particular interest in revision shoulder replacement and periprosthetic fracture management.

Education

Dr. Lynch was born and raised in Sewell, NJ. After attending high school at St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia, PA, he completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at The Johns Hopkins University where he played four years of NCAA baseball serving as team captain. Upon graduation, he attended the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ.

Personal Interests

During his undergrad at Johns Hopkins, he played four years of NCAA Baseball, serving as team captain.  Dr. Lynch is active in education and producing research to move the field of orthopaedics forward. Throughout his training, he has authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed journal articles and presented his research at local, regional and national orthopedic and sub-specialty conferences, receiving numerous awards for his work. He is a candidate member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society (ASES), a member of the Mid-Atlantic Shoulder and Elbow Society (MASES) and the prestigious Phoenix Society. In his free time, Dr. Lynch enjoys cooking, distance running, golf, watching and attending Philadelphia sporting events, and spending time with his wife, Stephanie, and their growing family.
