Biography
Dr. Quercetti is a board certified orthopaedic trauma surgeon dedicated to the treatment of fractures and musculoskeletal injuries. He received fellowship accreditation from both the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) as well as the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). He is also faculty for the AO North America and teaches basic and advanced principles of fracture fixation. Dr. Quercetti specializes in complex pelvic and acetabular fractures while also caring for patients with injuries of the hip, femur, tibia, ankle, and upper extremity. Whether treating high-energy trauma or more common fractures, Dr. Quercetti focuses on restoring function and helping patients return to their activities as safely and efficiently as possible.
Dr. Quercetti was raised in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Archmere Academy in Claymont, Delaware. At The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland he played varsity football and received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. He then attended the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine where he earned the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
After medical school, Dr. Quercetti completed an Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. During his residency, Dr. Quercetti received training at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey where he developed an interest in orthopaedic trauma surgery, caring for the most severely injured patients.
Upon completing residency, Dr. Quercetti elected to obtain additional training in orthopaedic trauma surgery, completing an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at Miami Valley Hospital through the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. During his fellowship, he gained experience in the treatment of complex fractures and post-traumatic reconstructive surgery.
He is married to his wife, Danielle, and they have three children. They relocated to Delaware to be closer to home and family, while allowing Dr. Quercetti to work at Christiana Hospital, an outstanding Level I trauma center.
