Erich L. Gottwald, D.O., ABPMR, ABEM

Biography



Dr. Erich Gottwald graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science from Marist College. Immediately after graduating from Rowan University School of Medicine (formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School) as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Erich completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania where he served as chief resident.

Erich passed the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) in 2013 and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM) in 2018. He then joined the University of Pennsylvania Hospital faculty as an assistant professor working in the rehabilitation department and the orthopaedics department. Shortly thereafter, Erich's responsibilities grew as he became a Trauma Consult Medical Director for the University of Pennsylvania.

In 2020, Dr. Gottwald joined Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists so that he could focus his efforts full time on patient care and EMG diagnostic testing.
